commercial and military aircraft incl. those produced by the Airbus (A320) and
Boeing (737).
The CFM56 is the best-selling engine in commercial aviation
history a success that’s built on the incorporation of new technologies and
continuous improvement in production processes.
Offering dispatch reliability of nearly 100%, the CFM56 is
the most reliable in this thrust class. It’s also the world’s most robust
aircraft engine featuring unrivalled time on wing (without removal for
servicing).
The CFM56 product line covers a thrust range from 18,500 to 33,000
pounds and offers excellent performance retention. It now powers aircraft for
more than 550 operators worldwide.
Although it will eventually be replaced by
CFM’s new LEAF engine demand for CFM’s new LEAF engine demand for the CFM56
family is still strong. Production will continue all current aircraft have been
filled and GE and Snecma will continue to produce spare engines and spare parts
to support its expected service life.
