OUTH EASTERN RAILWAY TO CONVERT CONVENTIONAL RAKES OF FOUR LONG DISTANCE EXPRESS TRAINS INTO LHB RAKES

SOUTH EASTERN RAILWAY TO CONVERT CONVENTIONAL RAKES OF FOUR LONG DISTANCE EXPRESS TRAINS INTO LHB RAKES

Kolkata, 24th February, 2017 - With a view to ensure safe and comfortable journey of railway passengers, South Eastern Railway has decided to convert the Conventional Rake of four express trains into LHB Rakes. The following trains will run with LHB coaches from the date mentioned against each:-

·        22853/22854 Shalimar-Visakhapatnam Express w.e.f. 28.02.2017

·        22894/22893 Howrah-Sai Nagar Shirdi Express w.e.f. 02.03.2017
·        12870/12869 Howrah-Mumbai(CSTM) Express w.e.f. 03.03.2017
·        22857/22858  Santragachi-Anand Vihar Express w.e.f. 06.03.2017

With the conversion of the above trains into full LHB rakes, the accommodation of the trains will also be enhanced.

22853/22854 Shalimar-Visakhapatnam Express and 12870/12869 Howrah-Mumbai (CSTM) Express will have additional capacity of total 116 berths.  There will be additional 88 berths in Sleeper Class, 12 berths in AC-2 Tier and 16 berths in AC-3 tier. 
            
22894/22893 Howrah-Sai Nagar Shirdi Express and 22857/22858 Santagachi-Anand Vihar Express will have additional capacity of total 86 berths.  There will be additional 64 berths in Sleeper Class, 6 berths in AC-2 Tier and 16 berths in AC-3 tier.
