Russian Helicopters to showcase new commercial models at Heli-Russia 2015

Moscow, Russia, 21 May, 2015 - Russian Helicopters will highlight a line-up of new commercial helicopters including the light Ka-226T and Ansat and medium Mi-171A2 and Mi-38 at HeliRussia 2015 one of the key events in the industry calendar which runs from 21-23 May at Moscow Crocus Expo centre. The company will take part in round tables and conferences, and will hold a number of meetings and presentations for partners.
“Russian Helicopters has always been an active participant in HeliRussia, where it showcases advanced technology,” Russian Helicopters CEO Alexander Mikheev said. “By creating new helicopters we can expand our model range and compete more successfully on the global market. Today’s helicopter manufacturers are also competing to provide the best aftersales service and this is a key area of focus for us that we plan to highlight at Heli-Russia.”
Sector experts expect particular interest in the light multirole Ka-226T and Ansat. The Ka-226T boasts high-precision hovering ability, outstanding manoeuvrability and handling, as well as a high power rating, maximum safety and ease of use.
The light multirole Ansat will be presented with a medical module. The helicopter has high potential for use in medical aviation, as it can be used to transport injured and sick people to hospitals, or to provide on-board medical attention or resuscitate patients. The medical module includes an artificial breathing apparatus, monitoring and defibrillation system, an aspirator, vacuum mattress and many other features that will help save lives.
Deliveries of the Ansat are scheduled to start in the nearest time. Experts say that the Ansat has a number of competitive edges over other helicopters in its class. The helicopter has a spacious cabin, is reliable and easy to fly, and can be stored outdoors.
Medium helicopters will be represented by the Mi-171A2 and Mi-38. The Mi-171A2 is one of the most eagerly anticipated new Russian helicopters, and is the latest addition to the Mi-8/17 series, with significant changes to the aircraft’s construction and on-board equipment that improve flight capabilities and reduce operating costs. Russian Helicopters is currently testing the new helicopter using the Mi-171LL (“flying laboratory”) and first prototype of the Mi-171A2.
Sector experts say that the Mi-38’s cargo-carrying ability and cabin volume, combined with its high speed and comfort, are likely to create high levels of demand from regional operators, primarily for passenger and cargo flights. Low noise levels, a spacious passenger cabin and next-generation flight safety standards are all qualities that suit the helicopter to a wide range of uses. Flight tests are currently ongoing with a number of prototypes. Kazan Helicopters, a Russian Helicopters’ company, has already started assembling the first serial-production Mi-38.
At Heli-Russia 2015, Russian Helicopters will also present its aftersales service programme to military helicopter operators. The programme has been taken to a new level with the granting of a licence from the Federal Service for Military-Technical Cooperation to provide aftersales service for military aircraft sold abroad.
Heli-Russia is a key event for Russian and global helicopter manufacturers. At HeliRussia 2015 market participants will brief the industry on their latest products and future plans. The event has been held since 2008. Russian Helicopters has participated every year, and is the title sponsor of HeliRussia 2015.

Russian Helicopters Ansat and Ka-226T enters the Russian commercial market

Moscow, Russia, 21 May, 2015 - The new light commercial Ansat and Ka-226T helicopters, developed by Russian Helicopters are now available on the Russian commercial aircraft market. Both received the required Interstate Aviation Committee Aviation Register certificates and can be operated commercially. Earlier modifications of these helicopters have been used by the Ministry of Defence, Emergencies Ministry, Interior Ministry, Federal Security Service (FSB) and other Russian state agencies. Built to the traditional Ansat and coaxial Ka-226T designs to each has their own advantages. These multirole helicopters can be used for cargo and passenger transport, and also for medevac missions.

“Receiving the IAC’s AR approval for the new variants of the renowned Ka-226 and Ansat helicopters means a significant expansion of these helicopters’ range of use in commercial aviation,’ Chairman of the IAC’s AR Vladimir Bespalov said. “In particular, approving the ambulance version of the Ansat will make it possible to deliver emergency medical assistance and to evacuate the injured from accident or disaster sites. The Ka-226T is a deep modification of the Ka-226. It is fitted with Arrius 2G1 engines, a new VR-226N main gearbox and navigation avionics. These modernisations have significantly improved the helicopter’s flight capabilities and commercial appeal.”

“The certification of our new helicopters marks a new phase in our group’s development. We are entering a sector of the helicopter industry in which, for a long while, we had no presence. Today, we are offering helicopter operators two new light models. These helicopters boast a great diversity of potential uses on the commercial market, thanks to their technical characteristics,” Russian Helicopters CEO Alexander Mikheev said, commenting on the official awarding of IAC AR documents for the Ansat and Ka-226T helicopters, which took place at HeliRussia 2015. “It is also important to note that the Ansat and Ka-226T helicopters can also be of use in medical aviation, which is vital for a country Russia’s size.”

The Ansat helicopter are designed and produced by Russian Helicopters' Kazan Helicopters boasts numerous advantages over competitors in its class. It is reliable and easy to operate, can operate in a wide range of weather conditions, and does not need to be stored in a hangar. The Ansat has a metal fuselage, composite materials in secondary structures and fibreglass blades.  The hingeless main rotor delivers heightened manoeuvrability and significantly reduces operating costs.

An addition to the IAC AR type certificate, making it possible to launch commercial operation of Ansat helicopters (cargo transport) was received in August 2013. In December 2014, IAC AR issued approval for the main changes (supplementary to the type certificate) covering commercial passenger transport. The medical variant of the helicopter marked the final stage in creating a unified helicopter certified for cargo and medical passenger transportation. Ansat operators can transform the cabin to suit their requirements.

Medical versions of both helicopters are also produced to meet the needs of medical aviation. The medical Ansat is designed for medevac and transport missions. It boasts high speeds–a maximum of 275 km/h, and has a range of over 500 km. The Ansat's spacious passenger cabin can accommodate a patient, medical equipment, and ensure two medical staff have enough space to work.

The medical-resuscitation model of the Ka-226T has space for a patient and two medical staff to assist throughout the flight. Stretchers are easily loaded onto and unloaded from the helicopter through the large opening in the rear of the transport cabin. The Ka-226T's medical equipment meets international standards and ensures the medical staff are able to work effectively during the flight. The Ka-226T has a range of 500 km and maximum speed of 220 km/h.

History of PADIARICS in India

Kolkata,India 26 April 2015-The Atharvaveda sacred text of Hinduism is considered to be the first Indian text dealing with medicine and contains prescriptions of herbs for various ailments which later formed a large part of Ayurveda.
Indian Ayurveda is a vast science and is divided into eight different branches(Ashtang Ayurveda) namely Kaaya chikitsa, Graha chikitsa, Shalakya tantra, Agada tantra, Rasayan Tantra, Vajeekarana Chikitsa, Shalya Tantra and Baala Chikitsa or Kaumarbhrutya Baala here means children and Chikitsa means medication.
Ayurveda has detailed descriptions of maternal and child healthcare. Sushruta in his Sushruta  Samhita had devoted a chapter to kaumarbhrutya . This was perhaps the first record of Paediatrics in ancient India.
The Atharva Veda has descriptions about childrens diseases and kaushika Sutra included Paediatrics.
Kashyapa and Jeevaka were well known Paediatricians of ancient India. Kashyapa Samhita deals exclusively with Paediatrics.
Baala chikitsa or kaumarbhrutrya is equivalent to paediatrics in modern medicine. This specialized branch of Ayurvda dealt with the diagnosis and treatment of the disease of children at prenatal, natal and post natal phases. Baala chiktsa also dealt with the problems related to pregnancy and child birth and other aspects of child growth and development.
It also helped recognize the direct link between the physical and mental health of an expecting mother and that of her progency. Apart from gynaecology and paediatrics this branch also meticulously dealt with problem of infertility.
The science of Ayurveda was so advanced that thousands of years back Charaka the great physician wrote in detail the care and management of newborn in Sarira–Sthana and Ashtanga Hridaya. Kaumarbhrutya and Prasuti tantra talk of prenatal care and also laid emphasis on neonatal care of the baby including feeding and management of illnesses in children. This included maternal care ( with respect to food, drink, leisure, restricted  work, sleep etc.) neonatal care ( cleaning, dressing, bath ) care of the unbilical cord breast feeding ( including concept of awet nurse ) ‘annaprasana’ (initial eating of solid food) daily care of eyes, skin and common symptoms in childhood illnesses.
Charaka had described growth and progress of foetus in minute details. He had even mentioned about a technique called ‘Punsanvan vidhi’ for having a child of ones desired gender, intelligence and constitution.
He also described  treatments for the most common diseases among children  viz.  gastrointestinal diseases , teeth disorders, rickets and many more. Since ages, Ayurvedic preparations have been used to bulid a healthy body strong immunity and sharp intellect right from infancy to adulthood that shields them from various kinds of diseases.- # amit.sunrisemirror@gmail.com
