RT to present the SkyStar 110 Aerostat : Border Security Expo 2019

TelAviv, Isreal- The Israeli-based Aerostat company RT LTA Systems Ltd. will present its SkyStar 110 aerostat atthe Border Security Exposition in San Antonio. RT's SkyStar 110 is ideal for defense, border control and military applications, and is a part of the Skystar™ family of Aerostats that also includes the SkyStar180, SkyStar 120 and SkyStar 330. The SkyStar aerostat systems are ideal for border control, as they provide persistent surveillance over long periods of time at a very minimal cost.
Speaking on the occasion, Skystar 110 is a micro balloon system, designed to provide field commanders with real time "over the hill" reconnaissance capability. The system is compact, robust and can be transported, assembled, launched and operated by only two personnel after minimal training. Backpack or pickup truck transportable, the system can be assembled and launched in 15 minutes, for a 1,500 feet surveillance range. SkyStar 110 Handheld Personal Ground Control Station(P G C S) is a compact unit that can be worn over a protective vest or mounted on a tripod. SkyStar 110 is operational under extreme weather conditions with low operational and maintenance costs.
Rami Shmueli, RT's CEO: "RT's SkyStar aerostats provide a complete set of solutions for defense, HLS, border control, public safety and camp protection. No other defense solution, manned or unmanned, is as cost-effective as aerostats, and that is what makes them an ideal mean for securing and protecting wide and long areas, such as the borders. In Israel, the SkyStar aerostats are deployed on the Gaza border, as part of the war against terrorism.  I believe that the SkyStar aerostats are ideal for border protection in the US, and can be a very cost-effective mean for securing the border between the United States and Mexico."

RT's Skystar™ family of aerostats also includes the SkyStar 180, SkyStar 330 and SkyStar 120.
SkyStar 180 is a small-sized mobile aerostat, designed for tactical mid-range surveillance, border control and public safety, as well as for police and military applications. Based on a towable trailer, the system has a stabilized day/night electro-optical payload suspended from a helium-filled aerostat, tethered to a ground system. It operates continuously at wind velocity of up to 40 knots, and can lift a payload of up to 20kg, providing surveillance coverage from an altitude of up to 1,000 ft. for up to 72 hours, after which it is brought down for a 20-minute helium refill. Skystar 330 tactical aerostat is a modern, efficient and combat proven tactical system designed to provide its users with persistent, medium-long range, real-time tactical Intelligence, Surveillance, Target-Acquisition and Reconnaissance (ISTAR). Lifting the system's sensor to an average altitude of up to 1,500 ft. AGL, Skystar 330 is an optimal system for camp and force protection, counter IED, area capture and situational awareness. The Skystar 330 can carry two different payloads simultaneously, and can be operated continuously, at wind velocity up to 40 knots, with a break of 20 minutes once up to 72 hours, to enable helium refill.
SkyStar 120 is a micro-tactical aerostat systemdesigned to provide commanders in the field with real-time reconnaissance capability, even when operating in rough terrain. Its Ground Control Station is mounted on anATV (All-Terrain Vehicle) that can drive through most kinds of terrain, allowing the operating force to keep moving and maneuvering with the aerostat on the ATV alongside them, either filled with Helium and ready to be launchedor already flying in the air. This allows the operating force to better fit the observation and communication lines in real time according to field conditions. Compact and robust, the SkyStar 120 is operational under extreme weather conditions and offers surveillance range of up to 1,500 feet.

Dublin Airport Begins Construction on North Runway

Dublin, Ireland- The Construction of Dublin Airport’s second runway has officially commenced. The new runway is 2.1 miles (3.2 km) long and is expected to be complete by 2021.

Speaking on the occasion, The Prime Minister of Ireland said, “Dublin Airport is our main gateway to the world and is crucial for Irish tourism, business and trade. This new runway is part of the government is ($ 131 billion USD) project Ireland 2040 plan to modernize our infrastructure, remove bottlenecks and enable future growth.”

According to the Dublin Airport, the airport capacity is already full and the new runway is “urgently needed”. Last year the airport welcomed over 31 million passengers Share Ross, the Minister for Transport, Tourism and Sport said, “The North runway will bring new airlines that operate here already to expand their networks. This will open up new long-haul and short-haul market and provide a greater choice of routes and airlines.”
In fact, the route map of the airport will be expanded this year with new connections to North America, Ukraine, and Shenzhen, China.
The new north runway was first planned in the 1960s, when the airport proposed two runways with parallel north and south runways. The south scheme was opened in 1989. The north runway scheme was approved a decade ago but was put on hold in 2007 due to increase in number of passenger numbers at the time and a recession.
The north runway is just one part of a larger expansion at the airport. The Airport said the airport plans to spend ($1 billion) on new piers and aircraft stands. Dublin Airport will be able to handle 40 million passengers annually after the expansion.

Earlier, Dalton Phillips, the Chief Executive of DAA said, “We are constructed and we need it now.” The airport believes the expansion is needed to complete with other airports in Britain and Europe. In addition, a new air traffic control tower is currently under construction at the airport. The 285 foot (86.9 meters) tower will become the tallest structure in the country. – Airline Greeks 2018
